What is Support Coordination?
Support Coordination is a service funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in a participants plan. The aim is to help participants of the NDIS make good use of their funding. Support Coordination is about connecting participants to supports and services (providers) that will assist them to achieve their goals, address barriers or build capacity for independence. The Support Coordinators role is to plan, solve problems, speak up for participants, and coordinate ‘circles of support’ for an NDIS participant.
